As you've likely gathered from the award-winning news on our blog as of late, September was awfully kind to us here at Lithia Toyota of Medford. And while the gravy train has kept onrolling right into October, we figured we'd take one last look at last month's achievements now that the sales numbers are finally in.
As it just so happens, Toyota went and sold 154,457 units last month on a daily selling rate (DSR) basis, making for a 4% year-over-year increase. Needless to say, it's been a cause for celebration and yet another reason to be proud of the best-sellers on our lineup.
"September was a solid month for the auto industry despite two fewer selling days," says Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager of Toyota. "Industry fundamentals are strong as interest rates stay low and consumers remain confident."1
Speaking of best-sellers, the Toyota Camry continued its reign as the best-selling car in America with 32,000 units moved. Even the Toyota RAV4 had its best-ever September sales month with a 15.5% year-over-year sales increase. Not to be outdone, the Toyota Avalon went and had its seventh-consecutive month of triple-digit sales gains.
As you can imagine, it was a team effort that got us to this moment and by no means does the credit end with these three vehicles. With that said, come see for yourself why people just can't get enough of these beauties at our dealership here in Medford, OR. After all, that many happy customers just can't be wrong.
