As proud as we are of how environmentally conscious our lineup is here at Lithia Toyota of Medford, nothing's more important to us than the safety they provide to those behind the wheel. It comes as no surprise that our customers say the same, and if there's one set of drivers that need safety more than most, it's those that just got their license.

Unfortunately, any parent will tell you that teens don't always listen to the advice of their elders. With that in mind, the 2014 Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge was created.

Now in its fourth year, the challenge invites teen filmmakers to create original videos as a means to educate and inform their peers about how to stay safe behind the wheel, along with the dangers of reckless and distracted driving. Every entrant has the chance at winning a grand prize of $15,000 for their efforts, and thanks to Toyota's partnership with Discovery Education, high-schools across the nation can enter into a safe driving sweepstakes for the chance to win more than $100,000 in prizes.

If you're wondering why Toyota would take such a vested interest in a campaign such as this, for them it was never a question.

"Safety is at the heart of everything Toyota does, which is why we are so excited about the Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge," says Latondra Newton, chief corporate social responsibility officer at Toyota. "What could be more inspiring and impactful than harnessing the passion, creativity and talent of teens across the country to join us in making our roads safer for everyone?"1

Preaching to the choir, Ms. Newton.

With that said, feel free to learn more about how our lineup is working to keep you safe with a visit to our dealership here in Medford, OR. Because from the Avalon to the Yaris, you truly can't go wrong.
