There are vehicles that just appear progressive -- with futuristic design touches and a forward-looking body style -- and then there are cars that simply are revolutionizing the automotive industry. The 2016 Toyota Mirai is the certainly latter, and it's been charged with the unique and monumental task of bringing hydrogen-powered driving to the mainstream.
One look at the all-new Mirai fuel cell vehicle and it's clear that this is no ordinary sedan. In fact, the Mirai is nearly in a segment unto itself with a wholly innovative powertrain which uses only hydrogen and oxygen to make electricity, emitting only water as a byproduct -- no carbon dioxide.
For a more detailed explanation of how the Mira is powered, tune in to the video brochure below:
While the Mirai will be sold in the United States, we can only get it in California during the first year of production since it's currently the sole state to have the infrastructure to support such a unique vehicle. We hope that the success if the Mirai will inspire cities like Medford, OR to welcome this green-driving car in the near future.
