Cows. They seem innocuous enough. Walk by a field of them and they'll moo gently, chewing on their cud. You love cows for their milk, and their meat, but what use is a cow standing in a field, other than to look cute?

Turns out, their poop may be much more useful than you ever thought. Check out how the new Toyota Mirai can go 300 miles on cow poop.

Essentially: decomposing cow poop produces gas. That gas can be collected, and split up molecularly until all you are left with is hydrogen. Then you can compress that hydrogen, and fuel the Toyota Mirai, which gets an EPA estimated 67mpg. Amazing, right?

Just one of the many ways Toyota is making the world a greener place. If it's time for you to green up a bit, come visit Lithia Toyota of Medford for a service appointment. A well-maintained car is more fuel efficient and gives off fewer emissions.
